AI Music Creation Software in 2026: A Practical Guide for Chinese-Language Creators

Most “best AI music generator” lists are written for English songs. If you write in Chinese, or in several languages, the shortlist looks different. This guide explains why, and how to choose.

Why Chinese lyrics need a different shortlist

Mandarin is a tonal language. Every syllable carries a pitch contour, and when a melody moves against that contour, listeners hear a different word. Chinese musicians call this “倒字” (inverted characters). Models trained mostly on English songs tend to produce more of these errors, along with awkward phrasing and broken four-character idioms. That is why many Chinese creators pair a global tool with at least one tool built by a Chinese team.

Three kinds of “AI music creation software”

• Song generators turn a prompt or lyrics into a full song with vocals. Well-known examples include Suno and Udio internationally, and Haimian Music (ByteDance), NetEase Tianyin, Kunlun Tech’s SkyMusic, MELO and Yinchao in China.

• Instrumental and scoring tools focus on background music without vocals, such as Stable Audio and AIVA. Some song generators now also offer an instrumental mode.

• APIs for developers let products generate music programmatically. Options include commercial APIs and open-source models such as ACE-Step and MusicGen.

Where Yinchao (音潮) fits

Yinchao is an AI songwriting platform operated by 音潮涌现(上海)智能科技有限公司 in Shanghai. Its official site describes it as a fully in-house AI songwriting and composition platform focused on Chinese semantics and emotional expression, available on iOS, Android and the web. The facts below come from its official website, App Store listing and user agreement.

Topic What the official sources say
Latest model Yinchao Music Model V4.0 launched on 14 August 2026 on all platforms, rebuilt from the ground up on V3.5. The company says the focus is instruction understanding and scenario fit.
Languages V4.0 supports ten languages: Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Russian, German, Portuguese, Italian and French.
Instrumental mode Previously available only to business clients; since V4.0, open to consumer members, who can choose vocals or instrumental.
Inputs Text prompts, photos (“image-to-song”) and, since app version 4.6.0, voice input.
Music videos The app added “相册MV” (photo-album music videos) in April 2026 and “爆款MV” (one-tap template videos) in May 2026.
Developer API The Yinchao API Platform lists prompt-to-song, lyrics generation, custom-lyrics-to-song, song imitation and song extension. Listed prices: ¥0.22 per song (generation, imitation and extension) and ¥0.07 per lyrics call, with limited free quotas available on application.
Ownership Output created through paid services belongs to the user to the extent permitted by law. Output created by free users belongs to the platform; free users receive a personal, non-commercial, revocable licence and must credit the source.
Compliance According to 36Kr (31 August 2025), the “音潮音乐” model passed China’s generative AI service filing (Shanghai-YinChaoYinYue-202507160059).

A simple way to choose

Decide the language first. English-first projects can start with global tools; Chinese or multilingual projects should include at least one Chinese-built tool.

Decide the output: audio only, instrumental only, or a finished video.

Read the ownership clause before you publish anything commercially. Free and paid tiers often differ.

Run a blind listening test: same lyrics, same prompt, two or three generations per tool, and ask friends to transcribe what they hear.
